when i was a little girl, i used to love the sylvanian families toys. i remember standing in the toyshop drooling over them, wishing i could own every single one. they're so darn cute. my kiddos have a few, so we were incredibly excited when we were one of the families chosen to host a sylvanian families twitter party! we've a houseful of friends coming round later to play some games and enjoy some yummy treats.

Miss Baya on our afternoon walk yesterday

happy saturday guys! we're off for a trip to gullivers world today - a theme park close-ish to us. the girlies don't know where we're going, so it'll be a fun surprise for them! looks like the weather is going to smile on us today so it should be a good day out!

things are picking back up here, i'm feeling better-ish and getting caught up on everything! apologies if i owe you an email - i'm getting there!

it's getting pretty cool here now, i was pretty happy when this lovely winter coat arrived for me! it's super cosy and i have a feeling it will keep me snug all winter long. the leaves are all falling now, and they are such pretty colours. i love this time of year. bonfires, hot chocolates and stomping in the leaves.

diy clipboard + a printable >>>>>

apologies for the absence here the last few days.... there's some stuff going on at home that we're working through. normal service will resume shortly ;)

in an attempt to keep track of all i'm meant to do, as my tired mama brain can't manage it by itself, i make a new things to do prinable. then i decided that it would be even better if i had it clipped up somewhere i could see it, so it didn't get buried under a mountain of stuff on my desk!

so.... as i didn't have a clipboard lying around, and am too impatient/poor to buy one - i made one! i used a canvas board i had already, a sheet of scrapbooking paper and a bulldog clip

first things, i covered the canvas board with the paper, folded the edges over the back and taped 'em down.

then added a blob of hot glue and fixed the clip on {it doubles as a hanger too!}printed out my things to do list and hung it up!! {click on the image below to print out a copy of my things to do list}

salted sunflower seeds recipe >>>>>

i am obsessed with these right now. seriously, this mama could eat this morning, noon and night ;) they are tasty and easy to make, i keep a jarful in all the time.

you'll need:

2 cups sunflower seeds

1/4 cup seasalt

water

place the seeds in a bowl/jug and cover with water. stir in the seasalt until it dissolves. leave these to soak overnight. drain and spread on a baking tray. place in a preheated over {170, 325F, gas mark 3} for one hour, turning over half way through. leave them to cool and store in an airtight container.

i snapped these photos last saturday just before baya and i went to the cinema. one of my amazing sponsors, sabrina sent me this beautiful mystical headdress as well as a gorgeous pair of peacock feather earrings. the headdress has a piece of labradorite stone as well as a gold coin on the back. it's absolutely stunning and i felt like a goddess wearing it. autumn arrived fast.... the days are cooler and you definitely need layers to keep of the chill! i found this top buried at the back of a draw - i'd forgotten about it over the warmer months.
