bits + pieces >>>>

so stoked for the weekend! i'm a tired mama. it's been a busy week here, lots of orders, working on my ecourse, lots of game playing, trips to the park, projects and crafts galore. it's raining {again} but i think we're gonna head out for a hike. i need me some fresh air and peace. time to get grounded.

tired looking mama, window shopping
blue eggs! {not from our chucks though!}

we've played a gazillion games of my first monopoly this week
and taken a few trips to the playpark

we got to cuddle baby chicks! {and tried to smuggle a few out in our pockets!}

the girls got a shoulder buddy to play with. aimed at 4-8 year olds, they are friends to lend a little confidence in any situation. they have a magnetic coin so they attach to your clothes or a bag. they're cute little creatures, baya had fun playing with him! there are some new characters out this year also.

pee.ess to celebrate my upcoming ecourse - i'm offering 30% off all my shop this weekend, use code 'happydays' at checkout! shop HERE

rainy days >>>>

we woke up to grey skies and lots of rain. instead of letting it put a dampner on things we wrapped up and went out for a puddle splashing session. embraced the rain and gave thanks for it :)

home to warm up with hot chocolates and a little peppa pig splashing in muddy puddles too, before we began homeschool. miss baya is loving her new peppa pig toy too {and she's mighty appropriate today seeing as she's a puddle jumping, mud covered piggy}. toy peppa joined in with the puddle jumping fun - she counts and bounces up and down ;)

i'm hoping the rain eases off before we have to walk lola to netball this evening - sometimes being car free has it's downfalls ha!

what i wore // Priestess Boho headchain

i snapped these photos last saturday just before baya and i went to the cinema. one of my amazing sponsors, sabrina sent me this beautiful mystical headdress as well as a gorgeous pair of peacock feather earrings. the headdress has a piece of labradorite stone as well as a gold coin on the back. it's absolutely stunning and i felt like a goddess wearing it. autumn arrived fast.... the days are cooler and you definitely need layers to keep of the chill! i found this top buried at the back of a draw - i'd forgotten about it over the warmer months.

sabrina has been kind enough to offer one of these amazing headdress's up for one of you to win, you can enter below. you're welcome :)

pampering night >>>>>

it's been a wet and cold week here {again} yesterday the kiddos and i treated ourselves to a pampering evening to cheer us up. we got sent this wild science facemask kit from interplay to test out, and it seemed like a good time to use it.

we dug out our orbeez foot spa, put on mirror,mirror to watch and got to work. the girls have been asking to try out some facemasks for a while, so they were double excited that they actually got to make them too! the kit was simple to use, and the ingredients seemed to be of good quality.

the kit consisted of a gel base, powdered kaolin clay, nutrient oil, colours, and jasmine fragrance. mix it all up and voila....

everyone's favourite thing seemed to be painting mama's face!!!

i have to say, my skin felt pretty fantastic after - i might be using this myself when the girls are in bed ;)

day to day >>>>>

our week days pass by quickly, filled with kiddos 'school work' and afternoons of crafting, followed by evenings taking various kiddos to various clubs! miss baya likes to join in with the big girls sometimes when they're working. she likes to practice her letters and ask me how to spell every word she can think of! when she's had enough of 'work' she brings a few toys to the table {she likes to sit with everyone else}

she's been playing with chloe's magical dress up closet lots this week - a cute little doll, with a 'magical closet' and three outfits. baya loves to dress her up, then put her in the closet, press the button and see it light up! chloe's been on lots of adventures this week - baya sits and tells us some pretty wonderful stories while she's playing and we're working! it's quite a sweet playset - i'm not generally a fan of plastic toys, but as she seems to have captured baya's imagination, she can stay ;)

what mama wore// new glasses >>>

top - lune
vest - new look
leggings - primark
headband - homemade
glasses - c/o firmoo

i got this cute pair of glasses from the lovely folk over at firmoo.com - i've just gotten a new prescription and frames here, but a second pair are always useful! it took me a while to choose, but i settled on these cuties. the frames are great quality, lightweight and really pretty. firmoo offer a free pair for every new customer too! i'd definitely recommend them if you're looking for a new pair of glasses.

i'm incredibly short sighted, but i'm terrible for not wearing my glasses - i feel a bit 'odd' in them ha! [not these in particular - any glasses!] what do you think of them??? do i look as silly as i feel?! i've been wearing this top from lune almost constantly - i love it that much!

the leaves are starting to turn and fall here.... and there's a definite autumn chill in the air - i love this season so much!

saturday sun

boy am i glad it's the weekend! it's been a busy week back at 'homeschool'... we're all pretty worn out. we had a fun trip to liverpool on tuesday to kick of our egyptian project.

miss baya is animal obsessed right now - ever since we went to the zoo back in july she's been fascinated. she was over the moon happy when we got sent these animals from schleich. part of their new wildlife range, these animals are incredibly realistic and fantastic for imaginative play. i have to say - my favourite was the cute little fawn ;) baya's had hours of fun playing with them - they make a great addition to our toy collection. we're studying animals of the world as part of our homeschool, so these will come in useful for that too!

what do you have planned for your weekend?? we're bbq-ing this afternoon, with visiting family, then hitting the carboot tomorrow in search of some bargains!

review // orbeez soothing spa

my kiddos {and i} were excited to receive an orbeez soothing spa in the post last week to try out. from character options, the spa is aimed at tween/teen girls. it features removable hand bowls and a foot tub. instead of being filled with water as i've seen in traditional foot spas, this one is filed with soft scented Orbeez  - little squidy balls.

we set ours up as soon as it arrived, and the girls waited {impatiently} for their turn. the spa comes with two packets of the orbeez, as well as a bottle of jasmine scent to sprinkle over them. you warm the orbeez in some hot water first, then pour them into the foot spa. when the waterfall is turned on, it pulls the orbeez up and they cascade down into the hand bowls. the girls LOVED it..... it was fun and pampering and is perfect for a girlie sleepover. i'm certain that ours will be pulled out again and again - it's already been used everytime they've had friends around.  i might have had a sneaky try out to, and i have to say it felt lovely on my tootsies!! i'd definitely recommend it, and it would make a perfect gift for young girl :)

lionheart magazine - ROAR!

i can't quite remember when i first heard about lionheart magazine. it was certainly earlier in the year, and i think i noticed a few tweets about it, decided to investigate and upon browsing the website was blown away and very quickly ordered a copy! so i was equally excited to hear that issue two was in the works and pre-ordered my copy as soon as i could.  i was a happy mama yesterday when the postman brought me my copy!

lionheart magazine is a magazine for those looking for something that reflects their personalities and preferences. it's a bi-monthly publication that hels martin has lovingly brought to life and edits, combining features, reviews, and interviews with ideas, photography and so much more - it’s a treasure trove. each issue is themed - the theme for issue two is 'warmth', i snuggled up on the sofa last night, tea in hand, blanket over my knees and was engrossed for the evening.

i was captivated by the beautiful cover illustration {by natasha thompson}. the magazine is filled with inspiring interview, beautiful images and a whole heap of inspiration. i'd say lionheart is one of the best magazine's around - beautiful to look at and inspiring to read. i loved the interview with the aviary, drooled over kimberlee's  red velvet cake recipe and lusted over the dreamy fashion shoot.

head on over and buy yourself a copy - it will be the best £5 you've ever spent!
