rose red >>>>

back to red! i'd thought about going blonde, or even turquoise, but when it came down to it, red is my normal. so i dyed it back yesterday - feels so good! i feel like me again ;) i snapped a couple of photos this morning, quickly as it's snowing again! little miss baya is very happy, she always missed my red hair! the dye i used is rose red - a little pinker than i thought, but it's kinda cute, though i'll probably put a truer red on when i dye it next.

i'd hoped to get some gardening done this week, i have potatoes, onions and garlic waiting to be planted, and i need to clean the chooks out - so i wasn't that excited to wake up to snow this morning! it's not showing signs of stopping just yet.

the girls and i are meeting friends at the cinema this morning, off to watch hotel transylvannia. then it's home to spend the afternoon with papa who has a day off :) perhaps mama can sneak some jewelry making time in later on!

i took advantage of today's sunny skies to shoot a few pictures... don't be fooled though - it was super windy and cold outside ha! still... better than yesterday's rain. I bleached my hair yesterday. The colour remover got all the black out last time, this lot of bleach has taken it down to a kinda ginger/red/brown colour. i'm quite liking it! i'm working my way down {slowly} to blonde. trying to be patient and enjoy the colours i get in the process!

today's a pretty chilled day. we've been to the play park and done the grocery shopping. lunch is next, then the kiddos have some birthday cards to make. i've been working on my eCourse all week - more details will follow soon ;)

so... i decided it was time to change my hair. i loved the colour on the ends, but wasn't really digging the black. so. i stripped it all out. i tried out the hair colour removers that are around - first time, and they worked pretty well! all the colour came out of these ends leaving me with blonde {oh! it's been so long since i've had blonde!!} and the black came out too {it's not an easy colour to get rid of}. now i've got a kinda reddish brown. i'm loving it. i think the warmth of the colour leaves me less washed out looking than the black did. i haven't done anything to it since stripping it. leaving it rest and recover for a while. i might lighten the ends a little more, take the blonde a bit higher. but for now i'm loving this ombre effect!

and... snow!! i was fuh-reezing out there ha! i thought i'd manage while i snapped a couple photos. but by the time i went back in my fingers were numb. on my weekend switched off, i did a little sewing, fixing up a few things, altering some others. this skirt was one of them. made from the softest vintage fabrics, i love the shape  of it. i made a couple and i've not worn anything else all week. paired with this cute sweater i got from oasap.com i'm a happy mama.

what do you think of my new 'do?? it's the first time in years i've had no crazy colours in my hair!

pee.ess... one of my lovely sponsors, the albedo sisters are having a giveaway on their blog - and if you haven't seen their blog or shop yet i suggest you check them out - they are amazing

i snuck out in a brief break from the rain to shoot these yesterday. honestly, it was such a grey wet day. we stayed home, did some crafting, painted, read stories, made a quiche, caught up on some work {mama} and  watched a few cartoons.

this might be the last time you see this hair colour. i bleached the ends last night, intending to put some colour back on this morning. however, i left in on a while longer than normal, and ended up with blonde ends! i was mildly excited ha! so, i've been thinking for a while about getting the black out. so i'm off to buy some colour remover and start the process. thinking about going for an ombre effect.. who knows!! i'll keep you posted ;)

i'm just about caught up on orders for my soul mantra bracelets. i've been amazed and blessed by all the orders! now, we're heading out to the library - this mama needs some different stories to read!

what mama wore // wellies >>>>

one thing about living in wales.... it rains. lots. summer. winter. autumn. spring. doesn't matter - it still rains! i learn the hard way, that the best thing to wear if you don't want wet feet is wellies. they're pretty much a staple, especially during the winter.

i came across joules a while back on beth's blog, so when they offered me a pair of wellies to test out i jumped at the chance. an hour {or two} later, i finally managed to pick a pair. there are so many cute ones, it was such a hard choice. i opted for these glossy purple ones. i loved the yellow floral trim {the lining is this too} i waited {im}patiently for them to arrive. and boy! i was so excited when they did. they arrived in a pretty floral bag, and a matching boot box! i've staked my claim to both though my girls all covet them.

they wellies themselves are beautiful {i never thought i'd say that about a pair of wellies} they are super comfy, and seem very hard wearing. they've had a couple of outings in the rain, and they kept my toes dry AND warm.

i'm already picking out my next pair of joules wellies. if you're after a pair i'd highly recommend these - they have so many too pick from and the quality is fabulous

pee.ess - excuse the photo of a poorly sick me.... i'm still not feeling great :(

what mama wore // lace and owls >>>>

my husband laughed when i opened up this lace vest... because i have so many tops similar already! obviously i have a slight obsession... but honestly, i love a lacey top, they are perfect to layer over t-shirts and add a little girlieness to an outfit. lace and fringing - who could resist that?!

my fringe is finally growing out from the super short cut i gave it.. i haven't decided whether i'm growing it out entirely or not... what do you think? lets do a vote - leave me a comment - fringe or no fringe?

the weather has gotten so cold now, these wool leggings are perfect to keep my legs warm, it's the time of year to be snuggled up in front of a fire, blanket on, hot chocolate in hand, and some good tunes spinning on the deck.

we finally got our christmas decorations up! i'll be back tomorrow to share some photos - feeling so festive now!!

there's been a little bit of full moon madness going on around here. for some reason, i never connect the two until after i've gotten super stressed. my emotions have been running crazy the past couple days, paired with a bout of insomnia, i've been a bit of a wreck. i finally gave myself the ok to feel this way yesterday, permission to sink into it, to not fight my feelings. somehow giving myself that permission always makes the difference. to acknowledge that my feelings are valid and to listen to them seems to allow me to work through and past them.

i'm tired this morning after another sleepless night, but feeling a little calmer - and excited for our friends who just had their first baby. i cannot wait for some snuggles!!

this past weekend was so blessed. thank you to each and every one of you who bought from my shop over the black friday//cyber monday sales. and a huge thanks to those who came and supported me at my open house. i think i'm just about caught up on orders. the shop got a mini-facelift yesterday. i have big plans brewing for my shop. i'm excited to fill in leonie's business planner and work towards my goals!

can we talk about this vest for a minute?! it was a bargain find over the summer at a car-boot sale. i think it cost me all of fifty pence. it's so snuggle, and my girls give me extra cuddles when i wear it. bonus! these boots are literally falling to pieces... i love these kinda boots but i wreck them in weeks. the headband was a gift from ada, i love how it matches my new hair perfectly! her shop is full of beautiful, handknit items - i especially love the owl cozies ;)
