thank goodness it's saturday! i'm forcing myself to take some time off this weekend, it's been a crazy busy week and i'm in need of some downtime. i'm spending this morning on the phone to technical support as i'm having issues with my iphone :/ sad face i'm lost without my phone!!

the sun is shining, so i think we'll get out for a hike today or tomorrow, enjoy some fresh air and some peace. the kiddos and i are planning a movie night tonight - not sure what we're watching yet, but i'm looking forward to it!

i mentioned a couple of weeks ago things were changing for our family. my mr has decided to go back to college, retraining in carpentry and joinery :) i'm so happy for him - it marks the start of a whole new chapter,  and i'm excited to see what it brings about. today is his first day back at school. i'm sure he's going to be happier doing something he loves.

it's been another busy week for my tribe. miss kiki celebrated six turns around the sun, she was a lucky girlie and got a giant pile of gifts! her favourite was her very own blythe doll :)

we've been enjoying the sun when it makes an appearance, and getting the last things ready for homeschool to start on monday! we snuck in a fun evening around the fire with friends and guitars - my favourite kind of evening.

today is for housework and a little gardening... we finally have a date to get our chickens {we're getting ex-battery hens} - 6th October!!! we can't wait!

right now it seems to be one busy day after another. we're enjoying the summer break and catching up with friends. there's been lots of playdates, trips to the park and evenings round the firepit lately. that fourth picture is some cute clothes i got the other day - i'll show them off in an outfit post tomorrow.

i've been hooping loads and i've just gotten a new {to me} juicer! i'm so excited to finally be able to make some delicious juices at home. hoping it will kick start me back to healthier eating again. do any of you juice?   i'm looking for some recipe suggestions if you have any favourites to share.

i feel like i'm barely online at the minute - mainly as we're so busy actually living life! i guess that's how it should be though! i do feel like i'm a little out of sync with what's going on in the bloggy world though - so tell me, what have you been up to lately?

happy saturday! it's a lots of coffee kinda day.... i was up most of the night with a sick kiki and we had an early morning visit to the emergency doctor at the hospital. she's feeling a little better now, but we're in need of a lazy day to recover!

it's rained pretty much all week here, and been pretty cold too. we've made a start on building our chicken house, but keep getting rained off! garden has been chicken wired today, well the bottom half so they can have the run of the woods when we get them! 

i've given my diet a kick start this week - filled the house full of yummy fruit and veg, started my days with fruit filled smoothies, and enjoyed plate fulls of salad for lunch :)

the shop is almost ready to reopen! just need to finish off listing stock. i'll be celebrating with a few giveaways next week - so stay tuned!!

a few peeks into my world this week :)

saturday - i woke up feeling awful - tired, cranky and with zero energy. i've managed to get a little housework done and took the little two to the park while lola was at drama. i've been feeling like this too often lately. something needs to change. i think i'm anaemic {again, it's time to take  a bit more care of myself. more early nights, less cake, more exercise, less coffee... that kinda stuff. my diet hasn't been great lately and i'm sure that's partly to blame. i need some simple, cheap healthy meal ideas to get me going. i think it's time to cut out the coffee/tea and cut down on how much bread + cheese i've been eating. i'm hoping for an early night tonight and then i might take these kiddos out on a long walk tomorrow - some fresh country air should blow a few cobwebs away!
