i hope you all had a good christmas! we had a fantastic one. it's been crazy and i am exhausted but we've had such fun and made some memories. santa was very good to us - the kiddos scored some fab gifts, absolutely piles of stuff! miss lola loved her iron maiden cd + t-shirt and her new bike best of all! kiki boo got the doll pram she'd been drooling over as well as a big hula hoop and little miss baya got a new bike too! here's just a few snapshots of some of their goodies:

santa didn't forget mama either, i got some new vinyl, some fantastic books, the best owl mug ever, as well as some chocolates, smellies, new undies and a pile of other stuff.

christmas day was just the five of us. we tried out the hula hoops {as did the chickens} took a walk with new bikes + doll prams, ate the most delicious christmas dinner and watched some festive movies [mama and papa may have indulged in a little bubbly too]

we've family coming today, then plans with friends over the next few days. i'm looking forward to the new year - i have lots of ideas and plans and look forward to sharing it all with you xo

it's been a tough week, stress, illness, death. then there are the reminders of just how blessed i am. a beautiful family, girlies who never fail to make me smile, and reminders of just what amazing friends i have made. one of the biggest joys this blog has brought me is the wonderful friends that i have made. ♥ you all xox

christmas is coming >>>>

we'd planned to put our christmas decorations up this weekend. i woke up on saturday feeling awful. sore throat, migraine, achey body... exhausted. combination of a couple of months stress, not looking after myself, etc. i managed to get miss lola to her shopping party (!) and home again, then the kiddos let me have a two hour nap. thankfully sunday came and i felt a little better. we decided to get out sunday and headed up to a local christmas market. the kiddos saw santa, and real life reindeer!! it was pretty sweet. hopefully we'll get our decorations up today or tomorrow, then i'll be sure to share some pictures on here!!

lincoln life >>>>>

home again. it was good to get away, if only for a few days. lincoln was home until 8 years ago, we still have family there, so it was good to get back for a few days, spend a little time with our folks, and take the girls to  see some of the sights. we never have enough time. a few snatched hours with family is never quite enough. it was the first time in a whole year we got to see my daddy. sometimes that's hard to deal with, i feel so separate from everyone else. not quite a part of the family anymore.

but all in all, we had fun. the girls got spoilt {and so did we} we fed the swans, did some shopping, visited the castle and cathedral, played with cousins, went to the fair and got caught up on life in lincoln. it seems like a lifetime ago we lived there, i'm not sure i could imagine living there again, but i love to visit.

now it's back to real life. i've a mountain of laundry to tackle, a stack of orders to ship out, new stock to make, a mile long to-do list and all of that to fit in around homeschooling... it's going to be a busy week!!
