the worst enemy to creativity is self doubt
i love this quote. sitting at my work desk the other day i found myself struck by a huge, sudden case of self doubt. doubting my plans for my shop, doubting if it was even worth keeping up with, doubting my creativity. i've been fighting the feeling since, carrying on making new stock, setting my plans in place. but it's still there niggling at the back of my mind.
i've decided to focus just on jewellery, leave the other things for 'personal projects'. give myself 100% to one thing and allow that side to flourish.
so - the shop will be shutting at the weekend for a week so i can make a few changes - until then all prices have been reduced by a furhter 40%!!! GO SHOP!!
in other news - i have almost finished my decluttering/tidying/moving spree around my house and man does it feel good!! so much stuff cleared out, things re-organised - i feel totally ready for a new year :)
AND miss kiki lost her first tooth - how cute is she with her gappy smile??
we've friends due round any minute - then tonight i'm planning on spending some much needed time in the Goddess Circle ♥♥♥

right now i'm on the home stretch of decluttering and reorganising my house!! i've been through most of the house, gotten rid of bags and bags of rubbish and even more bags to go to the charity shop. i've moved around half our house and turned the nook off our living room into my new craft space. we're back to 'real' life tomorrow - holidays end today!!! i've just got to repaint Miss Lola's room and hang some new pictures in the girls rooms today :)

2012 Goals
i love the fresh start a new year offers. a time for goals and resolutions - for dreaming big and making plans. i like to set myself a few obtainable goals each year.

CLEAN UP MY DIET
over the past few months my diets gradually gotten worse.. too much sugar and processed foods, not enough fruit and veg. starting today i'm making a conscious effort to choose healthy foods and switch the gallons of coffee/tea i've been drinking for water. trying this out this week:
GET IN SHAPE
remember the c25k i did last year???? yeah, unfortunately i didn't keep it up :( it gradually tailed off as the year wore on - so i'm re-doing it! i just downloaded a great {free} app onto my phone to track my progress. i also plan on adding in at least one exercise/yoga dvd each week
TAKE TIME OFF
it's hard to fit everything in when you have 3 kids, a house to run, home-schooling to do, blogging, crafting, etsy work, book-keeping... i often find myself still working at 10 pm at night! this year i need to make time to do nothing {does that make sense?!} give myself permission to slob out on the sofa with a movie once in a while - and get a few early nights while i'm at it - too many 2am bedtimes make for one tired, cranky mama
GROW MY BUSINESS
i feel i've come along way since i first started my etsy shop almost a year ago{!} the past couple of weeks, i've been thinking alot about where i want to take it and what i want to focus on. i'll be making some changes in the coming weeks and working hard this year to expand!

happy new years
happy new year from our family to yours!! we stayed in and partied en familie. we dressed up, made a tonne of yummy food, played pictionary, a quiz game, danced our socks off and saw the new year in toghether. it was perfect and I wouldn't have it any other way!

2011 Favourites
new years eve!! the kiddos and I are making some NYE decorations today.. we've having planning a little party just the five of us.. food, games, best dresses and lots of fun :)
this years been a great one, it's had some ups and downs, but I feel like I've grown a lot this year - and I'm ending it feeling on top of the world :)
Here are a few highlights of the year:
January
I blogged my to-do list for 2011, made a list of 25 ways to pick yourself up, took a walk in the church yard and made some cute birdies
February
I opened up my Etsy Shop and had my first sale!! I kicked the month of with a series of Valentines DIY's
March
Birthday month!!! Miss Baya turned 2 and I hit the big 3-0!!! I had a tonne of guest posts from other lovely bloggers on all things birthday related! Plus I opened up ze blog to sponsors :)
April
spring was in the air.... I blogged about being me and the importance of dreams. I enjoyed a morning to myself and realised some of the things I've learnt in the past year.
May
I started a Couch to 5k training plan, blogged about my list making obsession and how I plan for my blog. I also wrote about contentment.
June
I shared my recipe for Turkish Flat Bread Pizza, wrote a gratitude list, went swimming with ducks and completed my couch to 5k training plan!!
July
I blogged a DIY for a boho dream catcher, wrote a letter to my teenage self, took the kiddos to see my sister in Kent, and met Beth from Deer Little Fawn!!
August
this month I spent blogging in the local coffee shop due to broken Internet!!! I shared photos from our trip
to Kent, shared a printable creativity inspiration poster, made a patchwork blanket, celebrated Miss Kiki's 5th Birthday and my 9th Wedding Anniversary!!
September
shared some photos of our home, celebrated the Mr's birthday while we were on holiday and shared a kiddo friendly DIY
October
had fun with friends at the apple festival, shared my luscious lemon cake recipe, blogged a free Alice in Wonderland Printable and celebrated Halloween
November
Lola blogged her Necklace DIY, I made peppermint creams, talked about Home-Schooling, thought about being who you want, made some Cherry Jam and got a new kitten!
December
made a bucket list for the month, made cute vintage book bunting, some hanging stars and a cute card hanger. We had tea with Santa Claus and had the best Christmas ever!!!
