late last night, i went to quickly check something on blogger - i logged in to find that my blog wasn't listed on my dashboard, and when i typed in the url i saw this:
I FREAKED OUT!!!!
my entire blog had gone.. it was nowhere to be found. i contacted blogger, scoured the forums for any clues and ranted on twitter. freaked even more when i realised my backup was months out of date.
i started to envisen a life without this blog - could i even contemplate starting from scratch?? after two whole hours going round in circles, checking anything i could think of, i clicked my blog link from my google account page and it was BACK!!! just like that. i was so happy i could of cried {ok, i might have!}
the relief was riciculous - so pleased to have this little corner of the internet back - it made me realise how important it is to me.
also - it tught me the vital lesson of backing up your blog REGUARLY!
i'm happy i'm still hee - life without you guys is unimaginable ;)

eek this happened to me as well, a few weeks ago - horrendous! Also I have never backed up my blog - I need to learn how!!

from the dashboard, go to settings, then other - at the top you can export your blog. Click that and it will save your entire blog :)

ReplyDeleteEEEK! I probably would have paniced... and then cried. LOL A few blogs that I read regularly have had the same thing happen to them recently. Makes me nervous. I should probably back up all of my stuff!

This has happened to me before and I started to freak out! Then I went back on it and it was there! Maybe there's a little something wrong with blogger or something! Glad to have you back :D
