diy // ribbon garland

i shared this diy over on living apocklypse a while back.... in case you missed it here it is for all of you!

we made some of these ribbon garlands to hang in our woods - they look beautiful blowing in the wind, but would look equally effective as an indoor decoration - i can imagine it looking stunning hung over a cot.

what you need:

inside ring of an embroidery hoop
selection of ribbons
spray paint
hot glue gun

how to:

* spray the wooden hoop with your spray paint, and leave to dry.
* cut your ribbon into pieces approx 1m long
* hot glue one end of each ribbon strip to the outsisde of the hoop, until you've covered all the hoop.
* use another piece of ribbon to create a hanging loop by glueing each end to opposite sides of the hoop

and there you have it!! simple yet stunning ;) I'd love to see pictures if you make one

  6. This is gorgeous, but I don't have any mature trees in my garden yet to hang it from. But maybe our play room could use some anyhow ... X
