DIY Christmas - Paper Snowflakes

One of our favourite Christmas traditions is making paper snowflakes. We (meaning me!) cut out loads of them and fix them to the inside of the windows in our house. Make it look pretty and festive (tho this year we already have real snow outside!)

Here's how I make mine:

First, you need a square of paper and fold it downwards on the diagonal

Then, fold point A down to meet point B

Fold point C down from point D, like so:

And then fold point A/B across like this:

Lastly, you need to make one cut straight across like so:

Before unfolding, you need to make additional cuts. Remember point E forms the 6 points of the snowflake and point D forms the center of the snowflake. If you cut off D, a hole will be in the center. If you cut off E, the tips will have more points.

These are the four patterns I usually end up making, but experiment and see what you get!!! I will post a picture once I've got all of my snowflakes cut out and stuck up! I'd love to see pictures of yours.

Happy cutting out x x
